Limestone-rich marine sediments and cool downdrafts from the Höllentalbach stream shape this special site, where Gewürztraminerthrives with remarkable lightness and brilliant acidity.

Peculiarity
A terroir that presents Gewürztraminer in a new light: leaner, fresher, and more vibrant. It redefines the profile of one of our country’s most historic grape varieties. This single-vineyard site rises on an ancient dolomitic alluvial cone, shaped by glaciers around 32,000 years ago.Its well-drained soils, rich in gravel and sand, create a perfect balance between vegetative energy and slowed vine physiology. With slopes of up to 60% and dry, demanding soils, this site yields a wine that is taut, slender, and full of lively freshness. A next-generation Gewürztraminer – vinified separately since 2022.
